Mixing Colors Or Which Color

If you mix different platy colors would they still breed? Im planning on adding 6 platys [4f, 2m] to my 55gallon community tank. I would like different colors as I cannot choose one color XD But I also like the idea of just one color.

What do you think would be some good colors to go with Pearl Gourami's, kibs, alot of plants, checkered barbs.

yeah colour matters not to fish. i not sure platies should be mixed with pearl gouramis and kribs though(but i might be wrong)
