It isnt usually recommended but it has been done succesfuly by other people?

Just try and get one slightly larger than the other one!

add them together to.

It certainly can be done. An old book of mine even recommends that clownfish only be kept with other clownfish.

Well, I have an ocellaris now (Marlin), and the lfs has this cute cinnamon or tomato (it was sent as a tomato, looks more like a cinnamon) that is a little larger than the one I have now. If I get it, should I remove Marlin and rearrange the tank a little bit (not much you can do with rock) and then add them in, or could I just add the new one?
Thanks!

Agreed. Its possible but I'd add them simultaneously for best chances of success.

IMO it a really bad idea

Tomato clowns are very aggressive and will probably kill the ocellaris in time

Really??? Hmmmmm... I may have to think on this some more then....
Thanks for the heads-up about it.

Most clown species won't tolerate others

If you want another clown go for a skunk clown - they will mix with other clowns

What size is your tank?

I maintain that it can be done... just watch the two after introduction. I actually have a cousin that combined these same species, but the tomato died when the filter broke while he was on vacation. The ocellarises are still kicking today, and have grown to an excellent size.

off topic slightly but what is the lifespan for your typical clown? percula in particular....

thanks in advance

Typical is 15-20 years, although as Musho said, many can live to be as old as middle-aged humans.
