For reason which I will not bore you with, I have ended up with one German Blue Ran & one Blue Ram. The males sometimes chases the female but they don't seem to 'hang out' too much together.

Are there any implications in having these two fish together, or would it be better to get the each a mate?

Hi adriansp,

I think they have just settled down. As long as they don't bite each other fins, it is ok. I used to pair up a male Holland Blue Ram with a female balloon Ram. The male is 3 times the size of the female. Surprisingly they pair up and the female lay eggs but never succeed in breeding them as other fishes soon eat them up. I guess I have kept too many fishes then........sight!

Try them for another month, if by then they still don't pair up, introduce more females.
