My red zebra is doing "the mating wiggle" to my yellow lab! I thought they were both males though. Will the red zebra become more aggressive? Should I get something for the yellow lab to hide in?

If they are both males they are most likely to be fighting to became the more dominate one.You should have alot of rock caves in your tank, also you should look the put in 2-3 females for each fish as it will reduce agression.WHat is the size of your tank. :flex: Beware the red zebra is more agressive than the lab.

Hi, :)

:hi: to the forums/ Don't forget to introduce yourself in the newbie section.

Like Sunny.C says their is a fair amount of aggression between Mbuna and hiding places are a must for the less dominant.

Mbuna also need to be overstocked (within reason) to reduce this aggression.

How big is your tank (gallons and also measurement dimensions)? and how many Mbuna do you have in it?

The Wiggle you refer to is more often a warning or sign of agression than a mating thing. I think you'll find your red zebra is telling your lab to clear off. I see this a lot in my Mbuna tank if a more dominant fish thinks someone's a bit too close.
