Missing Fish... !

I got home tonight and one of my Serpae Tetras was not looking too good. He was kind of stuck in the plants. I put in some flakes and he did come out and swim around with the others. But this is where the mystery begins... he has now disappeared!! I have looked high and low in every corner of the aquarium - is it at all possible that the other fish have eaten him? (within the 90 minutes since feeding time).

What are the tankmates ?

There are four (was five) Serpaes - the missing one was unusually smaller than all the others, much more than when I bought them in May, when they were much the same - he did not seem to grow properly. Apart from them there are six neon tetras in there.

No, those fish wouldn't have eaten him. Did you look behind your filter and heater?

Just an update... three hours later and he has appeared!
I have no idea where he has been I looked everywhere.
