Missing Fish

Hi my algae eater is missing I can not find any sign of it I have 3 tiger barbs and a 1 rainbow shark and ***had 1 algae eater.Is it possible the shark or the barbs ate the alge eater

How many gallons is the tank and how long has it been set up? What type of algae eater was it and how big was it?
