Missing Corey Catfish? Yikes......

I'm still a newbie at this, and was really enjoying my two Corey Catfishes until I noticed one was missing. The two of them had been hiding under a house I have in the tank, and would come out in the morning for a little while. I noticed that only one Corey has been out from under the house for the past few days. So I decided to lift the house up to see what was going on.....no Catfish any where...I also looked in the house, still no Catfish.

I only have a few mollies, one platy and four tetras in the 28 gallon tank. This is really Freaky....does anyone have any idea what happened to my one Corey? I am seriously confused, how does a fish just disappear, especially when he was the largest fish in the tank Would any of these other fish have eaten him....when I first put him in, the Platy kept nipping at his fins......

Please help if anyone has any ideas.......this is truly mind boggling!!!

Remove plants and ornaments from the tank if you can.
Switch your filter off and take a look inside.

Yep, move plants and everything. Also check inside filter like mentioned above.

You say your cory was the biggest in the tank, are all the tohers really tiny babies then as corys are pretty small fish?

I have 4 corys and I get days where I only ever see and find 3. I often searched tank and never found it, then it would just appear. One day I found out what was happening. I have one cory that likes to bury itself in gravel and plant roots lol.

Hope you find it. Cant see the others eating it!

Thanks guys.....I actually did finally see the other Corey this morning, but only briefly. I cannot believe what a Houdini act he pulled on me, I moved everything around in the tank and never found him until he decided to show his face.....appreciate the feedback!!!!
