Missing Clownfish

I woke up this morning and noticed I only saw one of my clownfish swimming around (Female). The other is completely gone... I checked thoroughly through all my live rock and checked the snails, hermits, and starfish and nothing is eating him... It's like he completely disappeared...I checked outside of the tank and filter tubes...Nothing...He was totally healthy and eating last night when I fed them...No signs of stress of disease.. The other clown is fine... She did pick on him a lot, but never hurting him... I was only able to do ammonia and nitrate tests and both are at 0.... Salt gravity is at 1.023 as always... .... Everything else is the tank is fine... I don't get it... I do get I need to do more tests on my water, but ironically I ran out of testers...

Huh, that's wierd. Sure he didn't go carpet surfing? Do you have any rear filter compartments to the tank?

Could be he was eaten by the CUC overnight. That's not unheard of.

Yes, do you have any rear compartments - my tank has jumped over the weir on several occassions, he then swims to the bottom every time I go over


Lowered the water now so he hasn't (touch wood) done it for a while

No right now I only have a hang on filter with a few powerheads in the tank...It's possible he jumped out, but I looked all over...The dog could of ate him, but I doubt lol... It's a shame... I'm going to do a water change and make sure everything else lives... I'll buy the female another mate, I just hope she doesn't kill it.....Its just weird if he did die, what would of caused it? He was perfectly healthy yesterday... I checked everyday for any discoloration or noticeable parasites...
