Fish Fanatic
I currently have a a 20 gallon Long tank, that has been through the nitrogen cycle (Fishless). It currently has 2 filters, a 20 and a 50gl Aquaclears. It is heated, which stays about 80ºF, and lately slowly increasing it to deal with some Ich. I wouldnt say it is heavily planted, but it does contain 4 Large Java Ferns, 7 small java ferns (offshoots from the orginals), 2 medium sized anubias Nanas, and a small batch of Java moss. I use a mix of real and fake plants to provide cover. There is a piece of drift wood (4 of the small java ferns are shoved in the nooks and crannies). My tank currently holds 4 Julii Cories, 6 Guppies, and 7 cardnial tetras (well sorta. I check my tanks at least twice a day to count my fish. The Cardinal Tetras have been in the tank for just over a week. And When i Came home from work to count them... I can only find 6. Well I tore my filters apart, tore the tank apart. I cannot find the 7th tetra... Considering what I have in here, any idea where he went? Could he have died, then been eaten? In another tank of mine, I did find only the head and a bit of spine from a Zebra fish. So Im wondering if perhaps he was merely eaten, or what. I cannot find him behind the tank, and theres not much space he can jump out of. Any suggestions would be nice.
