Missing Cardinals

I added 11 teeny tiny cardinals to my tank today, it seems 3 have gone missing, I assume eaten, because cardinals dont seem to seperate this early.

Some are about 1cm or less in length.

In my tank atm I have:

2 rams (male)
2 keyholes (male)
1 bala (going next week)
2 danios
1 amano shrimp
1 SAE
1 RTBS
1 Horsefaced loach

Anything there that would possibly eat the cardinals??

how big is your bala shark? as that could be the culprit

About 6 inches

Didnt even think of him, really dont like it and want to get rid of it.

at that size its quite possibley the culprit bala sharks are also a schooling fish but if your parting company then you dont need to get any more

Cheers, Ive just moved 'it' to a smaller tank for the week.

There were 3 but they were all very nervous, and the first two jumped out whilst I was cleaning the tank, and died in the 30 secs it took for me to get them back in the tank.

Really dissapointed I lost those 3 cardinals though

just so you know, SAEs are schooling fish and your RTBS will probably kill yours eventualy.

Thats something I didn't know, how would the SAE do in a 5 gallon?
