Mis Named Fish Species

I have purchased many fish as juveniles only to find out that they have been mis sold or sold under the wrong name. Today at my LFS i looked into the tanks and saw at least 5 species of catfish, all of which were labelled incorrectly.

Isnt there anybody that regulates this kind of thing - it seems fairly elementary.
