Awhile back ago when i first got my guppies one seemed to look like she was pregnant but it was kinda hard to tell because she wasn't that big. So about 2 months ago i decided to add my guppies to my 29 with the rest of the fish. So i took them an put them in the 29 gal and i was meaning to take down my 10gal but i just didn't have time cause i had soo manythings to do such as work and hanging with freinds..so just 3 weeks ago i was like that it i am gonna take this tank down..so as soon as i open the tank i see 2 baby guppies swimming around in the tank i was like in shock so as fast as i could i took them out of there cause the water was starting to get low and getting icky and i put them in the fry container in the 29 gal..Now they are big enough to swim with the rest of the fish but they are still the smallest even smaller than my neons but they seem to be doin well and they look bigger than before an starting to get color but they are turning black i don't know if all guppies do that or what? well i thought it was amazing how they survived but i still feel really bad for not knowing... :(

Congrats your a daddy! :) Yeah male guppies do go darker as they get their colours.

Your guppies are probably not quite ready to be released in the 29 gal. especially if you have anything in there larger than a full grown guppie. give them another week or two and they should have full color and be ready to go in the tank. Congrats.

Fab story! I love the postive ones! It's good to know things are going well for people!
Congratulations. I would agree with stitches801 leave them another week or so before putting them in with the big boys! They've had a tough beginning and now need an easy life for a short while. Also ensure that if these two little guys are male that your female to male ratio is still safe otherwise you have fighting stressed out fish on your hands!

guppies who turned black are usually half black males. color will soon show on their fins now! What i love about raising guppies is that they all look different :) Congrats on the save!!
