Minnehaha Falls

DH (dear husband) had a day off the other day, so he, Samantha (my cousin), and I went out and about. We went to Minnehaha Falls State Park. It was just beautiful - especially with all the fall colors! Here are a few pictures:

Colorful leaves on a tree with dark green needles/leaves (didn't turn out nearly as well as I had hoped, but my camera battery was nearly dead and I couldn't really play around with settings) :

It was gorgeous! I wish my camera battery hadn't died so soon after we got there When we left, we hadn't planned to go there, otherwise I would have charged the camera battery up first. I may post more pictures from the day later (we went and played baseball before going to see the falls). For now, I need to go get my husband some breakfast before he goes to work.

wow, those shots make me homesick for minnesota............... haven't seen those falls in years (and they were frozen when i last did). i LOVE the shot of the single leaf on the wet rocks................ wow, i miss fall............. cactus don't drop leaves and dried up bouganvilla petals don't really make the same crunchy sounds...........................
