Hi
I have a 1 foot tank split in two and the two sides are 2g each would that be enoguh room for a betta on each side i have plenty of other bettas and have benn kepping them a while so im not un-experienced in this topic but just making sure of miniumum g's per bettas i have heard 1g is minimum but just checking
Cheers

one gallon is the bare minimum. i belive it's three or four (at least) that's preferred.

I havn't got anything as small as a 1g but surely it's the water quality that is the most important thing. If you can keep a 2g with optimum water changes and parameters, it must be better than having a 4g and thinking because of it's size it never needs a water change. At the end of the day,no matter how much room the fish has got, it will still be swimming in the same water. [Just my opinion]

2g is a-okay. 1 gallon is the minimum in my opinion. I have my betta in a 1 gallon and he seems a bit bored. 2g gives them room to swim around more. :)

keeping the water perfect is no problem i do water changes very often on my other tank so it will be no problem.
Thanks For All Your Help :good:

ive got a 18inch tank (12.5g) and split it into 3 so thats just over 4g each.I was thinking of making it 4 but they will have 4.5inch lenght yet tey have 1ft back si it might not be all that bad.I think its just how much you wnt to be able to see your bettas realy.
