I'm looking up all sorts of livebearers and I wonder what the minimum tank size for one male guppy is?

2-5 gallons, I'd guess. Are you keeping any other fish with him? They are fairly active fish, though I am always one to give fish lots of room. They are usually better off in groups, either with females or more males. They are social fish. :)

Well,I haven't got one yet - but if, after or if I never do breed bettas, I might be interested in breeding guppies.. however I'd only have a 10 gallon tank and I'm not sure if that's enough? If I can persuade my mom to let me have another 2.5 gallon tank it'd get one.

10 gallons is enough to breed Guppies, definitely. However, you have the problem of fry. Guppies have a lot of fry, and fast. You need to room to grow them up before you sell them, give them away, whatever you're going to do with them. So you need to consider room for fry. :X

Yeah, thats the same problem I had thought of, which is why I want to only keep one.

Ah, I see. You could keep a nice group of males in a 10g. I'd say 5-6. Or, if you're not stuck on Guppies, you might want to go for Endlers, which are smaller and less agressive, as the males go. :)

I had wanted Endlers from the beginning of my fishkeeping but I couldn't find them. Still, I'll ask my mom if I can keep a single guppy in a 2gallon... however, will they be lonely without anyone else?

He won't be as happy, no. They are pretty social fish. I mean, it won't kill him, but it's not the best enviroment. :X

Depending on where you live, you might be able to find some Endlers through the Buy, Sell, and Swap forum. Or, can you order them from somewhere and have them shipped?

Yeah, that's probably the best. Sorry to deliver bad news though. :( It's possible...but I personally wouldn't do it.
