I had posted a few days ago about having to change over a tank becaue it started leaking. now I am having very small a and ni spikes
a far less then .25 but discernable as not 0
ni far less then .25 but disernable as not 0
na 20 same as my well water
ph 8.2 same as my water

I am doing about a 25% percent water change daily, with water conditioner and small bit of aquarium salt.

my one platy gave birth and she still looks a little bit stressed...occasionaly clamping her fins and wanting to hide in the tank. I dont know if her stress is due to the birthing or the mini cycle. but she does come out and swim like crazy for food, then acts fine for a while till she goes and hides again.

they get flakes and crisps once a day or every other day and peas once a week.

no other symptions at all.
I guess just keep checking the levels and doing my water changes, but I didnt know if anyone else had any more ideas.

Sounds like you are doing everything right :good: Keep up the waterchanges, as the stress is most likely due to the ammonia and nitirite being presant. It dosen't look too bad, and should clear itself within a few days. I might possible be worth cutting back on the feeding though, to minimise those spikes.

Best of luck

yes I was thinking of going to only every other day or even every three days while its going threw this mini cycle. I seem to have 2 fish that any little this or that and they show stress, while there are others that lived happily threw the very worst cycle in my begining of my fishkeeping.
