Hi my tank is a fluval 80 Gallon
Its water is good
ammonia 0
nitrite 0

ph slightly over neutral
I have 4 albino corys
2 peppered corys
5 tetra neons
5 orange neons
2 platies
I also have a mini clown loach(or so the fish shop said he was) he is tiny

It is the clown loach I am worried about, he is very sick and i dont know what to do
his fins are clamped down and his spine is twisted at 2 angles. He has lost weight and is now lying kind of on his side. he hasn't moved much in about 2 days.
I have had white spot in my tank before however we treated it and its been gone a few months. but Im sure it might be back, I have been treating it every two days, so I've dont it twice so far. is there enything i can do. we have just had baby fry platies which are in a seperte tank now for their health. please help we are really worried

well we removed him and he died, just stopped breathing and moving and all his fins came apart on the toilet roll we put him on. now i m worried about the rest of my tank, will it infect everyone else and will the infection be in my gravel, plants etc?

Sorry R.I.P. i will found you some info on what to do.

I think i would contact a vet to see if you can get some minocycline, or tetracycline for your tank, for now plenty of water changes, i would be tempted to remove the substrate and replace it.

TB can be contagious, i had it wipe out several of my fish last summer. Unfortunately it is very hard to treat. I had some luck with minocycline, but it is alot harder to get in the UK. For now, keep a very close eye on your fish, and if you see any fish beginning to show any signs (look at the link wilder gave you), isolate them immediately.

thanks wilder, ur always a great help. going to sort it first thing in morning.
my platy is pregnant again, we already got three of her babies in isolation tank. so we need to sort it qucikly.

this is taken from the board.
Tuberculosis
A fairly infectious bacterial disease, tubercolosis is becoming incresingly common. Affected specimens must be removed from the aquariym immediately so that other fishes aren't infected. A tubercular fish usually feeds normally, but loses weight as it's internal organs become damaged. Some fish develop nodules under the skin which eventually ulcerate, in other nodules develop behind the eye, causing "pop-eye".

The bacteria that causes the disease prefers cooler temperatures than most bacteria that infect humans. However, fish tuberculosis can affect people, usually in the for of an infected nodule on the skin, but there is a small chance that it will cause a serious internal infection. nce diagnosed in one of your fish, strict hygienic precautions should be observed. A definate diagnosis is only possible by a post mortem.

Things To Look Out For
Appears dull in colour
Weight loss
Folded fins
Ulcerous skin wounds

Treatment
Seek vetinary advice. Affected fish should be removed and euthanized. Don't allow them to die in the tank as other inhabitants will eat them and become infected too. The tubercular fish's contacts should be treated: move them to a separate hospital tank, and disinfect the original aquarium. If other fish succumb, don't introduce any new specimens, euthanize all affected fish then clean, disinfect and re-stock the aquarium.

so what can i do with all my other fish espcially when i need to sterilize things? i soaked my net in bleach and cleaned it all out. am i supposed to do anything else? i dont breed on purpose, she just turns up pregnant. should i clean out my tank and start again, but then i have all these fish at moment...

I would buy a hospital tank as if you see a sick fish you can issolate them immediately, I would for now just maybe remove the substrate, and get some new.
Sorry i know you can't help that they breeding didn't make my self to clear, when they have the fry if they don't kook right i would end there little lives bless them.
