Mini Angel Fish

I can't say I have ever heard of a Mini Angel fish. Do you have a picture of what you are talking about? :)

no there in my lfs
there quite small bout 2in

They are probably young Angels that just aren't full grown yet. :) They'll get bigger, trust me. I'd skip the Angelfish in your size of a tank...

What fish do you have now? If I remember correctly, you need to fill out some schools....? -_-

yes i have 2 rummynose
3 m guppys
1 platy

Yeah, so you'll need to fill out the Tetras' school, to about 6. Are you still getting Cories? And are you keeping the lone Platy?

Okay, so you just want the Tetras, Platy, and Guppies? If so, I'd fill out the Tetras' school, and probably get another few Platies, just so s/he doesn't have to be alone. What sex is s/he?

Okay, so if you don't mind fry, you could get 2-3 females, if you do...you could try getting only 2-3 more males, but you need to be careful and ready to take them out if this doesn't work. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won't.

How many gallons does the tank hold? I agree with anna, you should get some more tetras as they are schooling fish that like to be in groups of at least 5-6, platys are also very sociable fish and i also agree that you should either get 2-3 females or 2-3males to give your platy some company  .

I can understand why you asked this question, as you do sometimes hear people talking about "small angels" as if there was such a species. It's ignorance, most of the time; some lfs staff only see the fish when they are juveniles sold by the shop, so they don't realise how big they grow. I've even seen a RSPCA publication referring to fitting "small angels" into a small tank- as if they would never grow up! A bit like encouraging people to buy "mini-St Bernard's", meaning puppies. Good job you're doing your research, it is easy to get sold a pup!

If I remember right, it's a 10g

and the stocking had changed, where the Flying Fox gone??? and where did the rummys come from. Rummys can be to senitive for a older tank let alone one that is or just has cycled.

What are your water test result??

Anyway arnser to your quetion NO, an Angle can't go in your tank.

Hey Bettas,

What are the stats of your water? (pH, Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate)

Have you got the exact results and not just "ok" as you usually say
