hi i just fed a tiny bit of mince meat to my fish my adfs loved it an gobbled it up
just thought id share this sorry if its a bit of a pointless thread :S

no it was raw you must be careful not to put much in dont do it often an clean up any of it they havent eaten within 30minutes

It is terribly unhealthy for the fish. Anybody can feed it to their fish, but that doesn't mean they should.

Mincemeat is usually made up of all the off-cuts of meat and includes the fat etc. also unscrupulous butchers will add preservatives (they are not supposed to but they do) believe me I know from being a butchers apprentice many moons ago.
I feed beef heart to my Killifish (now and again, mabe once a week at the most).
I buy a beef heart and cut the leanest meat into cubes and discard the rest. I then freeze the cubes. Next I grate the frozen beef cubes with a hand grater through the smallest holes. The meat now has the appearance of red worms which my killi's love. But as said earlier, feed sparingly and do not leave any uneaten food in the tank.

Animal meat is very bad for fish and a completely unnatural food for them that they find hard to digest and can be very unhealthy for them, check out this thread on beef heart;

Tropical fish aern't designed to digest to large quantitys of fat or toxins present in animal meat and it is very bad for water quality and causing sickness and constipation in fish.
