Hiya All,
I have just started keeping tropical fish again after a period of 20 years, and everything seems to have gone technical on me.
i have had my 24"x12x12 tank up and running for three weeks now, added 3 mollies after the second week, now the water has gone milky/cloudy, I have been told that this may be a bacteria bloom.
Is there anyone out there that can help me by explaining what has gone wrong , and how it can be remedied.

Hi tricky tree.

Firstly, what are your water specs: ammonia, nitrite and nitrate (0, 0, < 20 is good)?

How often and how much do you feed (twice a day is good)?

How often and how much do you change the water (hopefully 20% per week)?

Did you fully cycle the tank before adding the fish (running for 2 weeks does not guarantee that the tank cycled)?

Cheers.
