Boy you aren't kidding. The midwest is a very bad place to be looking for aquarium plants. I live in Wichita, KS. but I travel full time. I didn't see any decent plants in Omaha the last time I was there, and don't bother with Lincoln either. (I google pet shops before I travel). Minneapolis has a couple of really nice shops, and I found a shop in Chicago that was really great. I am off today to St. Paul, MN. so may have time to drop by my favorite shop for a look see.

I think I'd be happy to see more people from the US trading plants. Most of the people on the forum are from the U.K. Isn't it still around .36 cents for domestic mailing?

Most of the local shops I go to are really good, yet the only downside is that most of them do not cater to the aquascaper, and if they do, they usually just have your A-typical plants like Amazon Swords and the like.

I have found some pretty rare fish though.....that is one thing I don't lack.
