Midication & Filter & Food.

Hi, I'm new to this "Forum" but I do know a lot about fish, anyway today I went to the "Pet Shop" for some advice on midication. I just want to know that if I add some midication in my tank will my "Undergravel Filter" distroy its ability and can you feed your fish if the midication is in the tank.. Please Help.

What kind of medication? If you are talking about antibiotics - then, yes, it could affect the beneficial bacteria that live in your gravel and UGF (under gravel filter). However, most medications tell you on the bottle whether they'll have an effect or not.

It's fine to feed the fish while you medicate.

What disease are you treating with the medication?

I'm treating "Ich". And I want to know that will the medication be distroyed by the "Undergravel Filter".
