Midas Cichlid (Amphilophus citrinellus)

i am thinking of getting a 50g tank. would it be big enough for one midas cichild if it is the only fish in the tank with adiquate filtration (i would have a wisper 60 and a biowheel panguin 330 on it). all the reading i have done says 55 is the smallest size i should be thinking about. should i get the 50 or should i get a 60 or 70g?

Go 70g it will be much more happy, plus they tend to get big fast aswell.

i am not sure of the dimensions. i havnt bought the tanks yet, but they are all long

id go with a 75g they more popular than a 70.

the width has to be 16 or more. if you can find a 50 that way itll work. the more tank room you have though, the less you have to monitor the water. they produce lots of waste
