Mid-water Fish

I've got a juwel rio 125 i'm probably going to have 6 corys, a quuen arabesque pleco and ottos.
I was wondering what midwater fish can i have or you would recommend? ( i'm probably going to have neons but not sure what else)

Any type of tetra would do well. They're middle swimmers.

will it be okay with blue rams as well or would i be overstocked?

A pair of Rams will be fine, just make sure that its a male and female.

Neon are nice mid-water fish. (Althought I prefer cardinals) Many tetras would be considered mid-water but not all. I find my Fireheads spend most of their time near the bottom. I think a pair of rams would be fine in your setup. Look into Apistogramma too if you can find them.

To chime in, I think just about every barb is a mid-water fish as well.

I'll probably have a mix of neons and halequins with a pair of blue rams. Thanks for the help
