Hi it is just after 4am here, I have spent the last hour or so finding out why all of my tanks airbubbles wern't working.
I then discovered that all of the plug sockets wern't working
I go to the fuse box and find the RCB(RCD) was in the off position.
This means there has been a power spike and that has tripped it to safe mode.
so I turn it to the on position and it goes straight to off again.
now I have to go around the house and turn off/up plug everything
(it is at this moment you realise how many electrical appliances you have
)
so every thing is switched off/unpluged and the RCB is back to on, now comes the task of plugging back in, everything, one by one.
I started with the tanks, of course, then the videos (VCR's) then tv's etc
I ended in the kitchen, fridge, freezer kettle and the absolute last thing I turned on was the microwave. Lo and behold, power shuts off again.
It turns out to be the microwave has a lose connection in the plug, now fixed and all is working again.
Power was off for a maximum of 2hrs, so there shouldn't be any problems.
I just thought you might want to know so you can check all your plugs, just in case.
Thanks for reading
