does any one know if meth blue treats white spot
or do i have to get a med for white spot

thxs in advance :good:

it's not the best but it can help if their is nothing else.

meth blue is used in most general parasite treatmenst and in white spot products like WS3 and king british WS treatment,

be careful as this is toxic to certain fish, what is it that you want to treat ?

some pepper corydoras

ok, they would be fine, is there anything else in the tank that you are treating?

for now try gradually increasing the temp in the tank to about 28C, a higher temp should help to reduce the whitespot.
as for the meth blue, i would give that a try, it is likely that any white spot treatment you buy tomorrow will be made up of mostly meth blue anyway

IIRC, meth blue could cause cancer in humans and fish but these days, what doesn't? To be on the safe side, and avoid "Smurf hands" I'd definitely use some gloves with it as it stains easy.

yeah iv some bronze and swartzi corydoras aswell

you get malacite green in the king british one, thats what I have and has always worked well. just dinney get it on yer fingers. plus it totally stains whatever it touches, work tops especially.

turning up the temp speeds up the ich life cycle and I think turning out the lights helps too

It's the green that's right. The color names mixed me up though I'm sure you could find someone with some scientific claim that blue will kill you. Never the less it does stain easily.

yep it does stain lol
usally i were my old clothes when doing my tanks but i had a right good shirt on when i added the meth blue ,did everythig as carefull as i could didnt spill a drop but some how it jumped out the bottle and splashed me grrr friging meth blue and it took ages to get it off my hands ,
