Metal Halide

Dayzofspeed,

For a 4ft long tank you should use two Metal Halide's.

What depth is the tank and how many gallons is the tank though?
I have a 75 gallon tank that is 4ft long and I have two 250watt Metal Halide pendants.

its a juwel rio 240 approx. 240 Litres, Measurements: 121 x 41 x 55 cm

I'd say 2 x 150w halides but depends on what coral you decide to keep.
Most photosynthetic corals would be fine under those.
T5's is another option. Cheaper to buy. Cheaper to run.

id either go twin 150s (preferably with T5 actinics) or 6 T5s(preferably ati unit with individual reflectors and built in fans) if it was me.
