Metal Halide Differences

I bought a couple replacement bulbs for my system and they are not working.

My old one are working just fine.

1. I bought 15k bulbs instead of 10k should that make a difference? Do I need a different Ballast?
2. I am just reading about pulse and probe type....how do I find out what I currently have?

you dont need different ballasts to operate different kelvin bulbs. its just the colour

As said kelvin rating won't affect anything.

The info for the ballast should be written on the unit somewhere.
