Mesh For Ricca

That's a genius idea! Will nab my misses one next time she replaces it :shifty:

I'd love to take the credit Sam, but I read in another thread somewhere about this, and when I investigated, couldn't believe how long it was. Will last forever through all the trimmings and recladding, and still have some left when i pop my clogs I'd guess.

 that made me chuckle, need to redo my riccia actually, is it not a bit stiff? compared to hairnets?

I really don't know if these would be suitable but what about those plastic mest baskets some fruit like strawberries come in? Or the plastic mesh bags onions potatoes and such are put in? Are they doable?

Beacuase its been scrunched up for so long it can be a bu***r to keep flat, although I dont mind because I only use it in tube form to hold the excess riccia at the top.

I used it as a flat piece and because it 're-scrunches' it was quite baggy over the top of my cave and the recoiled itself quite tightly, before I totally over bound it with cotton thread.

Its good though and only £1 or so and lasts forever, whereas the hairnets (I used to work in a food factory) are very soft and I wouldn't trust them not to rot in the water.
