Hello All, this looks like a great site! I've been keeping fish on and off for about 37 years. I hope to share my experience with the members of this site. I see you have a very large memebership from people all around the word. I love to hear from people with different experiences and customs.

Hi and Happy Christmas to you .
Its a great site and its good to have someone with your experience join.
BTW if thats your picture in your avatar you are looking remarkably fresh for someone who has been fishkeeping for 37 years! :D

Merry Christmas and welcome to the forum. :hi:

I think you will enjoy the site. It's also great to have another experienced fishkeeper to help all of us out. What type fish do you have? I would ask what you have had over time but in 37 years, you've probably been through a little of everything.

Hi wellcome to the Forum :hi: And Merry Christmas to you.
Merry Christmas to you Silverlady. Very nice to get a warm welcome from across the pond :)

Merry Christmas Weaver! Thank you for welcoming me. The pic in my avitar is that of my 3 week old son, Alexander. A future fish keeper and youngest member here, I'm sure :D

Merry Christmas to you rdd1952. Thank you for welcoming a fellow hobbyist! You are right, I have kept many kinds of fish in the past. My hobby has evolved from the goldfish I won at my school carnival. Soon after I started collecting stickle backs at stow lake, in San Francisco. Then onto a community tank of tetras, gourami, livebearers, discus, etc... I've kept cichlids from Africa, Central and Southern America. All sorts of catfish, arowanas, freshwater stingrays, characins, and other oddball fish. Currently that is what I am interested in. Oddball fish.

I hope to learn from other hobbyist experiences such as yourself.

Hi fishing4exotics :)

Welcome to the forum! :hi:

It's always great to welcome an experienced fishkeeper. I hope you do stay on board since we will surely be getting a new batch of members who are getting their first tanks as presents this Christmas. In a few weeks they will need all the help they can get.

I'll look forward to seeing your posts. :D
