Emergency!!!

I have a quick question. For quite a while, I have labored under the delusion that Anubias and indestructible, but I have been wrong . . .

In a low light tank with other thriving nana, frazeri and bateri (as well as Crypts, bolbitus, and java ferns), I have apparently lost all my a. congensis and at least two bateri/nana to a strange rot that leaves the leaves intact, but rotted off where the stem meets the rhibozome. None of the 5 frazeri seem sick and most of the bateri/nana are fine, including one that has been in the tank for about 4 months and is still growing and maybe about to bloom again.

It appears to be stem rot . . .

I do not believe that the water is bad since I change 10% every week, have a 29 gallon aquarium, and only 25-30 (healthy) Endlers in the colony that inhabits the tank.

The plants are relatively new (1 month) and this started about 2 weeks ago, and in earnst over the last week. Is it shipping damage? Will the rhibozome resprout roots? More importantly, is it contagious and/or what should I do?

Thanks :)
Stuart

Hello 007stu and welcome to the forum. :hi:

I don't know very much about plants, so I'm not the one to answer your question, but I did see your post and wanted to greet you. This is a great forum with many friendly and helpful people; you will enjoy it. Why not start a thread in the Newbie section and let everyone know you are here?

I'm sure someone will be along soon to help you with your plant problem.

If you buy anubias roots they'll rot, so make sure the roots are well out of the substrate, preferably anchored to some rocks or bogwood.
