Meet Shaniqua....

Shaniqua is a black, fat, and pregnant, and she doesn't take #### from anyone. Now, she's claimed this rock formation decoration as her porch and she chases/attacks any fish that get near. She will go out of her way to harass my male guppy. My other pregnant fish are peaceful, but not this one. I have a breeders net, but there's already a pregnant fish in it. Is there a way to stop this bully behavior, or is this common for pregnant guppies?

Hi coryhessel, she like most pregnant woman can be realy nastie!! All you can do is get another breeding net to stop the fighting.

Territorial behavior is common for pregnant fish. While not uncommon, it is not the norm for the fish in general. If it continues you may end up having to separate the fish.

well, I put her in the breeders net now, but for a while she was still trying to peck at other fish through it. I just swapped her with the other fish.
