As you can see (just about lol) he has peachy golden fins and a chocolate brown body, what a beauty!!
He's only a baby, I reckon maybe 8 weeks old, he's weeny bless him.
His name is Jai, a word that comes up on the Thai dictionary when I search wonderful and baby!!

Oo, he's pretty from what I can see!

Can't be 8 weeks old though, I'm sure they can only be sold from 3/3.5 months old - and his fins look quite big as well. Where'd you get him from? Lovely colour!

Well here's the thing, please don't shoot me. I took my kids to Pets At Home and wasn't even looking for fish to buy as I have my eye on another Betta, but I saw him and had to have him. They usually sell the standard red/blue betta in there, he's in nice condition mind you, but so unusual.

He's really lively and friendly, comes right up to the sides to see me. Only got him this morning, I'm off to get him a bigger home and a plant this afternoon. He even gave me a little show earlier!!

Is it a veil tail? I'm a bit clueless about the 'kinds' of betta to be honest, though I'm learning quick!

Yes he's a veil. He's a beaut too good find , i have only seen blues he surely is a pretty boy

Yup, a VT.
I've only ever seen reds and blues at Pets At Home as well - very nice find!
He's probably about 9-12 months, typical age for a LFS betta. I've never seen one that colour

I'm definitely BEAMING, I think it was meant to be! I just hope I can do him proud and keep him going, I always get so nervous when I don't get stock from my REAL LFS.

Aww I love him, I bought him those betta pellets and it says 2-3 pellets twice-three times a day, depending on size. It also says they can be fussy eaters. Not my Jai! I watched him eat the pellets, soooo cute, he almost smiled after lol! <<< smitten silly woman
