I have about 4 large swords in one corner of my tank. I'm looking for a brownish, or brownish-red plant to go in front of them to add more "depth" and density to that corner of the tank.

I'm trying to hide some of the stems and to create an overall sense of lushness (if thats a word  )

If my camera worked right now I'd send a pic.

Thanks

Have you thought about Cryptocryne wendtii red or another cryptocryne? They tend to stay small and with iron supplementation often develop more red in the leaves creating a nice contrast with the green of the swords. They can be quite dense too.
Here are my cryptocrynes. They are a great plant.

If you want a stem plant, I like the look of R. rotundifolia, if you have good lighting and CO2. The small leaves often have a pinkish tinge with proper light. They give the tank a very lush look in my opinion. So do crypts if they are grown well. Another pic? Why not! I'm a sucker for pictures.

Hope this helps a little bit.

I saw some of that at a LFS in town. I'm going to stop by and get a closer look.

Thanks

Your welcome. I'm not doing much today, I've got a bit of a bug, so I'm stuck indoors resting. Glad I could help.
