I'm sorry to keep askign so many questions

my cories have been having some mild problems recently, i got home today and one is definitely on the way out :-( I have been avoiding medicating because i hate putting chemicals in my tank but i think the time has come, I don't want to risk losing any more

I have some General Tonic by Tetra, it is medication for bacterial problems eg finrot and popeye (what mine have)

it doesn't mention anything about what dose to use with scaleless fish, if i halve the recommended dose should i be ok? anyone got any experience with this?

Hi clutterydrawer :)

The product you have is a good one to treat bacterial infections in corys cats. I suggest that you give your tank a good cleaning and water change and begin treating, according to the directions on the package, immediately.

It would also help if you slowly lowered the temperature to no higher than 24-25 C. and added an airstone to increase the oxygen content in the water.

Do not worry about corys being scaleless fish when it comes to this medicine.

Good luck. I hope your fish recover soon.
