Day 6 of protozin completed yesterday morning. Had a good look at all of my fish and they seem fine with the exception of one platy. She has a tiny white dot on her side which started out bigger at the beginning of last week. It has gradually got smaller but I can still see it although it is tiny now. Should just start changing water as normal or another dose of protozin? Also, does this mean the protozin is the correct treatment as the problem seems to have stopped as the one white fleck on the platy is minuscule?

I'd continue with the medication. In general most medications suggest a treatment time that is too short, figuring your average aquarist won't bother going through the trouble. That means their product won't sell.

could it be a scar? I read somewhere on here that white spot can leave the odd scar behind. I have a guppy with a perminant white spot on her tail that never went away after the last time they had it

Would you say the protozin sounds like the right meds given things seem to be clearing up? I was worried at first that I was not using the right stuff

protozin is what I've used both times they've had whitespot. If your worried it hasn't completely got rid of it do as Tolak suggests - he's got far more experience than me :)

I completed the course and then did half dose on day 7 & 8 then water change and carbon replacement on day 10.
A couple of my fish had little white marks where the ich had dropped off.
