How would you keep track of how much a fish grows without a scale?

How would you keep track of how much a fish grows without a scale?

I just eyeball them and taking pictures help like one when you first get them one in the middle and one when there fullgrown

want to know what really helps is haveing a friend come over and see the new ones and then come back like 2 months later they will notice the difference that you normally wouldn't see because you adjust,also they can notice if a fish has drop weight or gained

Pictures do a really good job of it. I also notice the difference. I can look at the tank for 3 months straight, and not notice a difference. But I could look at it the next morning and notice the huge difference in size. It happend to my yellow lab fry. For ages they looked the same, then BAM, they looked like a different batch of fish!

O ok dont worry i wasnt doubting there exsistence i just dont have any chilcids they look nice though
