Those exodons look MEAN! But aren't as colourful as some other fish!

BTW are you doing a fishless cycle or what, cause if you're doing a fishy cycle then you might wanna get some guppies then you get more fish once he can't have them anymore!

A 20 isnt really big enough for a school of exodons, in small spaces they very quickly kill each other.

What about one of the smaller pike cichlids? They are mean as hell for their size and will eat small feeders if thats what floats your boat.

lol floats my boat! No he just wants active fish not nessisarly something that will eat a feeder Im thinkin tiger barbs now, even tho there not mean there really active and nice

I have a 20g tank with 8 tigers a couple of Khulis, and some Ottos. Very lively tank. They're not really what I'd call aggressive, but they are definately active!!!!

Tigers do get pretty aggressive and on osasion feel the need to feed one killed my platy at my lfs therea tiger tank they dropped a feeder in it was ulgy

tell your friend to get a really massive tank and put pirhanas (i can never spell that properly!) in it!!!!

Or - if hes got loads of room - and he knows stuff (this should be after the first tank) get him some lovely puffers!

So you think you're going with the barbs. Has your friend seen them and agreed. If not, then just show him soem cichilids too!
