Hi,
I'm Kel, I'm 23, from cambs UK, pretty new to fish keeping but I guess it's in the blood, my dad's kept fish all his life and at the tender age of 3 I killed all of his fish by taking them out the tank to play LOL.
Anyway I've had fancy goldfish for about 7 months now, my husband bought me a black moor on my birthday and it was in...a fish bowl
I went out and got a 17l tank straighaway. I've moved him into a 70l tank which isn't ideal I know but once we move in a few weeks I'm going to get at least a 180l hopefully bigger.
I knew I wanted tropicals because although fancy goldfish are nice, tropicals are so much prettier and so many diff species, I bought my first tropical tank last week a 240l jewel for £120, bargain! At the moment I have a blue gourami, a geophagus jurupari(which I'm getting rid of) and 2 little catfish, I also bought a cuviers bichir and I'm hoping to buy another in the next few weeks as they are beautiful. I've decided to keep the little catfish in the 17l until I move. Get a big tank for the goldfish and put the catfish in the 70l. They are so much happier on their own so I think I'll leave them like that.
That's about it for now, I'll be able to sit and have a good look through the forum and post more tomorrow night.
