I am not sure if my mbuna have internal parasites or not. Quite a few are a bit skinny and one is very skinny although
They all get fed well 2-3 times a day. They really skinny one is a yellow lab but it is hard to tell if he has something
white sticking out of his anus cause his belly is white - there is however a bump where his anus should be, I don't think
he/she is mature yet at only 5/6 of an inch.

One other thing I have noticed is the cichlids mostly stay on one side of the tank (this is because of aggression) but they
do not move much either and they tend to like the top (they are not gasping for air - they aren't all at the very top) But they like the top third of the tank.

The temp is @ 82 F

Could this be a water perameter problem??

May be able to get pics on here in next few days.

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Signs of internal parasites are.
Long stringy white poo, or clear mucas poo.
Worms prutruding from the anus.
Sunken in belly, being thin, or bloated.
Enlarged anus or red and inflamed anus.
Bent spine sometimes.

The lump is it solid looking or soft like filled with fluids.

65 us gallon
2 pseudo acei, 2 pseudo aurora, 2 yellow labs (one is sunken belly), 1 kenyi, 1 electric blue, 1 red zebra, 1 bushynose
plecco.

Do not have test kit but will probably be getting one soon

Haven't seen him pooing lately

He does have sunken in belly, his is fairly extreme, on a few other fish it is starting

I think his anus is enlarged but not sure if it is this or just cause his belly is sunken in
so much it shows more

The bump looks like its hard

Sounds like it could be internal parsites if the stomach is sunken in and anus is enlarged.
Need location for a med.
I would invest in some liquid test kits as soon as possible.

Can't you just advise me what to get at lfs? Or will they not have at lfs?

Also I have noticed my male pseudo aurora aka bully rubbing against rocks 2 or 3 times, he does have spots
on his tail and the end of his dorsal but they appear to be slightly blue and in a pattern.

Don't want to be pushy but I really don't want MORE fish to die as I have had a few pass away from different tanks!!!!!!!

Internal parasites med in the uk there only one but it dosn't treat camallanous worms.
Its called wormer plus.
The spots on the fish are they the size of a grains of salt.
Whitespot looks like the fish has been sprinkled in salt.
Is there a blue greyish film on the fish.

They are not like salt though. If I go to lfs will they have treatment for
internal parasites?

Buy the wormer plus online.
Don't go to the lfs they will fobb you off with waterlife med that dosn't treat internal parasites.

Don't know about the blue spots never come across blue spots in deseases.

Ya, I am going to lfs anyway probably for test kit

I will wait a while probably and see what happens, and then look at treating it

I got a test kit (dip strip) I know the strips aren't as accurate but the drip test didn't contain nitrate tests.

My lfs had some internal parasite stuff (pellet food) and I decided to try it out, it isn't waterlife so I'll tell you if it works.

I am pretty sure the blue spots are just part of colouring.

Have you ever come across black spots? One of my fish has one black spots about 3mm by 3mm and one smaller about 1mm by 2mm if you look really closely you see that the spots are made of TINY black dots the dots are near
the dorsal fin but still on the body and the Tiny black speckles are close together so it looks like 1 spot if you don't look
hard.

Thought the blue spots was the colouring of the fish.
Can you tell me what that wormer treats please if you don't mind.
Do you have any snails in the tank.
Look under black spot.
