Mbuna jumpers?

Do mbuna jump thats really all I can think of, because I found two dead fry on my rug they were still a little wet. thing is they were almost a foot away from the tank, the stand sticks out about 4 inches itself and the about another 6 inches from that on the floor, the bottom like I said was still wet so I don't think it was the watter change I did yesterday. So do they jump or does someone have another reason this happened? I have no lid on the tank steped on it last week and broke but trying to get one today

I've never had a mbuna jumper, but it's certainly not an impossibility by any stretch.

mine are forever hitting the hood...so maybe

I have cat but doubt hed do it, (afraid of the bubbles)
I hoppe it's just jumpers i lowered the watter level and should get a hood by tomorrow

Mine are always bouncing off the glass lids so it wouldn't surprise me that they can jump. It usually happens when they chase each other. Not like swordies who jump for seemingly no reason!!

Sorry to hear that vantgE.

Mine will jump out of the water in the process of swimming up from the bottom for food but other than that i've never seen them jump.
