Maxium Size Of Mystery And Ramshorn Snails

Some sources say 2" while others say fist sized...

Hi,

Have a look on www.applesnail.net Mystery snails are usually apple snails, there are 2 types most often sold brigs and cannas, brigs stay 1.5 inches and will only eat dead plants, cannas get as big as a baseball and will eat live plants.

I have seen a picture of one the size of a softball! I was amazed.... this could have been a mutation or something but it was definately a black mystery snail. I have 2 my self (IN SEPERATE TANKS!!! lol.. ) and they have not grow more than mentioned 1.5 - 2 inches.

the seperate tanks thing is because they reproduce like crazy and will over run your tank if your not careful....
