My tanks capacity is 65 litres and dimensions are 50 x 52 x 35. Currently have two dwarf gourami's, two julii corys and 4 neon tetra's. I've recently changed my white gravel for black gravel and have read that glowlight tetra's look great with dark substrate. Am i overstocking if i add 4 glowlights and a sterbai cory?

What is your filtration?

Provisionally that would be fine and a nicely balanced tank with top, midrange and bottom swimming fish. Depends whether you have sufficient filtration and or live plants.

I have recently introduced 4 medium size live plants and they all seem to be doing well, all i know is that one is a java fern attached to bog wood and one is a anubis. The filtration i use is a Aquaone 102F; 6.5 watt - 450L/HR and maximum limit of 75Litres.

I will also shortly be adding some mopani driftwood as soon as the tannins have gone.

Also carrying out a weekly 20% water change

You could do this :
2 Dwarf Gourami
6 Julli Corys
5 Neon Tetra
5 Glowlight Tetra

Your Corys will be much happier in a bigger group. Sterbais get pretty chunky and you would need around 6 of those (proper shoal) on top of the 6 Julli Corys so you'd be over-stocking. I hear Neon Tetras and Glowlight Tetras can sometimes shoal together so you could keep 5 of each species.

I agree with above but personally I would knock off 2 tetras to make a total of 8 tetras just as then you aren't pushing the limits of your tank given that your filtration is not spectacular.

Your right, the filtration is a bit unimpressive but OTOH Tetras aren't great 'poopers' so I doubt removing 2 Tetras will make much difference.

Thanks for your advice. Can anyone recommend improved filtration?

Depends on your circumstances. Are you any good at DIY? Do you have space for an external? How much do you want to spend? Do you want to continue to use your current filter?
