I'm cycling using a combination of bactinettes and fishless cycling. I was just wondering what the max temperature ought to be? I have the heaters set at 30* but both thermometres are registering 32*?? Do you think this is too high for the bacteria to grow???

im by no means an expert on Fishless cycling, but im sure i read on the fishless cycling thread that its good to have it in the upper 80's F, or even just in the 90's.

Hope that helps.
Scunny.

From what I have read, there really isn't a max. I saw one article that said they tested up to 95F (35C) and the bacteria development continued to improve all the way up to 95. So based on that the higher the better. I would definitely think you would want to be around 32 or 33 (89.6 to 91.4).
