My freind has recently purchased a 20 gallon tank. He is wondering what he can stock it with. He has some fish that he hopes to put in it but neither of us are sure whether they will be suitable, could anyone help me with this? Also I would quite like some help on the sort of numbers for which he could put in the tank.

Tiger Brabs
Peppered corys
steel blue kili fish
Rams
Gourmios

Tiger Brabs need shoals also will spread agression
Peppered corys also need shoals of 4+
steel blue kili fish not too sure about but i think it might be ok
Rams should be ok
Gourmios again should be ok,
but i personally would choose between gouramis and rams, but thats just me, i say that because with the tiger shoal you may be gettin quite heavily stocked

 The best way to go about it is read about the different freshwater fish, assusming thats the way you want to go, and just research it. This forum has a lot of helpful information. You want to look at how big the fish get, how they get along with one another etc.. and how many you can have for a 20 gallon. You also want to make sure your tank is cycled. Good luck!

I would skip the tiger barbs or just fill the tank with tiger barbs only as they are nippy and aggressive.

He could do a gourami tank, that would be pretty. They can be slightly aggressive.
Other options
Danios
Cherry barbs –very pretty
Tetras
Glow light tetras
Neon Tetras

However, I’m not suggesting all these, they are just options.
