Ok now i have a post about this in hardware but im not getting any response so thought i would try in here to.

I just worked out that im going to need some kinda setup that can filter at a rate of 3060L/HR min!

Any suggestions on how to acheive this with external filters without putting more than 2 filters on the tank?

Hi DeadlyMixer :)

This is information about the big AquaClear 500/110 filters. I have one on my 55 gallon tank and can tell you that it's an excellent filter. It uses a sponge and has a big chamber that you can fill with filter floss for additional bacterial and mechanical filtration.

AquaClear 500/110 ~ #106207
- Maximum Output: 500 U.S. Gal. (1892 l) per hour
- Full Flow Control: 166 U.S. Gal. (630 l) per hour
- Power Consumption: 14 W
- Maximum Aquarium Capacity: 150 U.S. Gal. (567 l)

I hope this helps. :D

What kind of setup are you doing it's not a strict rule to following by gph isn't always necesary yu'll get a better answer with tank size and fish you plan to keep, right now the cheapest way to get that movement is with a couple aquaclear 110's

Ok its not for fish its for my new turtle tank im having custom built. The tank will be 180x60x60 cm with aprox 3020L of water in it. The basic turtle rule of thumb with filtration is times it by 10 and you've got the L/HR you need. So as you can see i need some mega filtration and how much space its gunna take up in and out of the tank is more of a concern than the actual cost.

Edited: see i dont have a prob with 2 filters but its way impractical to have 3 or more on a turtle tank with ramp and other bits and pices in the way already so thats what im trying to avoid.

Is there some way to combine the inlet and outlet hoses so that theres only 2 hoses going in from 3 filters or something?
