I just sold my bronze juvi's and was hoping to get melini corys, but they had sold them, after debating between concur corys, which were cute or adolfi which were lush  but unfortunately lots of them had worn barbels and i didnt wanna take a chance...

Anyhows after much debating i finally opted on some masked corys,3 for now, will add more later :)

Another nice addition to your Corydoras family :good:

James.

What's the difference between "masked" and pandas?

Masked corys have a vertical stripe going down their back from the dorsal fin to the tail, but not much different otherwise :)

Oh, yes! They are beautiful additions. Congrats!

I see. I probably wouldn't have noticed without you mentioning it. Thanks.

Just trying to get it straight, since I'm fairly new at the cory game and want to find out as much as I can!

I've also been reading up on the masked corys, also know has the Bandit cory/ Cory metae :good:

I love these guys so sweet, pity about the adolfi's having no barbels....

nice one, i have a wild trio of these guys too :) would really like these them to breed \o/

They are more active today,i have put them into my 10 gal atm with the gouramis and have settled well :good:

I'm hoping they will breed also, although do seem quite young atm :)

My first cories... also the first to breed for me, and I still love them. (My original pair spawned in the quarantine tank, I missed the event then found 13 juveniles in the tank two months later...lucky for them the new quarantine fish was not into fry eating.)

C.metae get a bit larger than C.panda's, and the females get nicely plumb... I keep a mix of c.metae/c.panda in a 55g...and they do mix nicely. For the most part, they stick to their kind, but I have one C.metae male with confused personality...he hangs with pandas, and even tries to spawn with pandas:
