I have an empty unused 40 gallon and wanted to make it into a marine tank. Can someone tell me some species of fish that could coexist in this tank? I usually keep predators or oddballs, so id appreciate it if some of the answers had a few of these in it even though most oddballs and predators don't much care for friendly, less aggressive species. Also how do you take care of and clean reefs, live rock, and sand. I've had trouble cleaning sand..and i can't imagine trying to clean it with the added bonuses of a reef in the way. :) thanks

Well the common Oddball and predators for a tank that size would include frogfish, dwarf lionfish, and a few species of eel. You could also have one wicked wierd creature in a Peacock Mantis Shrimp. Peacocks get big (think 5+ inches) over time and are really cool creatures. Other thoughts would include maybe some small triggers for a few years. They'd eventually need to be moved to a larger tank but could do OK in a 40g for a while. I wouldn't try and house these creatures with most other fish small enough for a 40g, they'd probably be expensive dinners ;)
