Help

I have just realised that i have been feeding my tropical fish marine fish food for the last couple of months(since i started the tank and was recommended by my LFS).

All the fish seem to be happy, however i did lose 3 Guppies die last month not long after buying them.

Does anyone know if feeding them marine fish food would have hurt them?

I have brought some tropical fish food but im not sure if the fis would have a bad reaction dos anyone know?

Many Thanks
Tribemad

P.S i have
4 Neon Tetra
3 Male Guppies
2 Small Angel fish
in a 54L Tank

I am still quite a newbie to tropical fish

The marine food shouldn't harm them. But you do need tropical food for the right vitamins.

The angel fish shouldn't really be in less than a 20 gallon.

How long did you climatise the new fish for.
Was there any symtoms to go on before death.

Do you have water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

I think the guupies will ill when i got them. One had a damage tail fin and they just stayed around the filter. One only lasted 24hrs the others 48hrs and a week. I floated the bag on the water unopened for 20mins then opened and added a bit of water into the bag repeated this 3 times then used a net to take them out of the bag.

All the water stats are fine (and were fine before i introduced the guppies)

Always check the bag water in ph and temp. This way you know how long to climatise for.
