Marine Biorb - Oh My God

. But then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and as long as the fish and other "live stuff's" needs are met, then all is fine I guess.

I think it is beauty is in the eye of the Beerholder.

I think Navvarre's wife had a Nano "Bowl" with a Clarkii clown in it. :) Its (pic above) not my cup of tea though!

Theres a marine specialist near me which has a marine Bi-Orb. He's ripped out the internal filter and lighting, he has an external filter on it and a 70W MH suspended above it. Nicest Bi-Orb i've ever seen, but wouldnt make me want to touch one with a barge pole, i still don't understand why people love the spherical shape of the Bi-Orb, you cant see your fish properly!!!

that is horrible, for the price they probably paid for the biorb they could of bought a decent sized oblong tank. i hated my biorb as it made my fish seem bigger and wider. also it was crap to maintain and well overpriced for the kit you get

Bishops Cleeve? Thats a nice little Bi-Orb :D It doesn't have any fish in it though, just corals snails and inverts i believe :) I personally wouldn't keep fish in one of those..

When I see that tank all I can think is that "Finding Nemo" has a lot to answer for.

 me too ... I wish I had clownfish. How big does your tank have 2 be to have one of those. 50Gallons? But I just thought that there salt water fish... All the beautiful more elegant fish live in saltwater... I wonder why...

My wife has a similar Nano. Its not a bio orb though, it has a wet dry trickle filter and compact T5 lights.

To be honest though i dont like it. distorts your vision and is an absolute pain to try and clean.. The coraline algae growth is abundant and near i mpossible to get off the curved glass (as can be seen in the photos)

Im trying my best to persuade her to cange to a more conventional shaped tank or at least one that is easier to clean.

Its by no means as colourful as many of the members on this forum but she loves it so as long as she is happy that means i can concentrate on my own puddle of water :hey:

LOL!!!

Personally, when I'm holding my beer, I think round tanks suck, and if they are bigger, they suck even more...I even dumped my bowl, and put my betta in a 6 gal rectangular tank.

I love the clownfish though..

thats a hard question to answer. i would say at least 20 because of stability issues with smaller tanks but you could probly go down to a 12 unless you plan on keeping maroon clowns or tomato clowns
